BLUM Compact Hinge (Specs)

The Blum Compact Hinge is a “one-piece” hinge made only for ¾” face frame cabinets (will not work for any thicker face frame thicknesses) and is intended for use with 3mm Hinge Boring distances. There are two categories of Blum Compact Hinges: 38N and 39C. Each category represents a variety of overlay sizes and mounting options listed below:

Smaller 38N Style

5/16”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8”, and 3/4”

Larger 39C Style

1”, 1-1/4”, 1-5/16”, 1-3/8”, 1-1/2”, and 1-9/16”

The 38N Hinges are considered partial overlay hinges, with a max overlay of 3/4".

Key features:

• 105º Opening Angle

• 9/32" Minimum Reveal (TCDS usually recommends 1/2")

• 7/16" Cup Depth

• One Piece "Wraparound" Hinge (wraps around face frame)

• Made Only for 3/4" Face Frames

• Made for Maximum 3/4" Thick Doors

• Uses a 3mm Hinge boring

• 7/16" Hinge Protrusion

• On/Off Soft Close

The 39C Hinges are considered Full Overlay Hinges with a maximum overlay of 1-9/16".

• 7/16" Cup Depth

Both the 38N hinges and the 39C option come in a Screw-On Option and a Press-In Option. Below are the required hinge boring options:
